Paid Time Off

AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.

Position Summary

The Director of Supply Chain Systems and Informatics, leads the master data and analytical function by defining goals, standards, methods, and procedures to optimize our supply chain master data systems that will drive contracting, purchasing, and inventory decisions effectively across the enterprise. The Director will lead the team that develops and executes all Supply Chain data strategies and implementations across the organization. This role has a number of critical responsibilities focused on partnering with the technology business and functional unit leaders, providing best-in-class service, vendor performance & risk management, scaling our processes, and innovating continuous improvement solutions.

Work Schedule: This role is offered on a fully remote basis, allowing the Director of Supply Chain Systems and Informatics to be based anywhere in the country.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Supply Chain Data mining strategy.
  • Create a value driven structured approach to identifying system tools / programs and optimizing system performance.
  • Provide strategic direction and performance objectives for a team of supply chain analysts.
  • Ensure the quality and value of master data is regularly reviewed, accessible, organized and distributed in a manner that drives dynamic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including business and functional leaders to develop criteria and best practices for data analytics.
  • Research and analyze industry information and market trends pertaining supply chain technology.
  • Manage the maintenance of a repository of vendors in a contract management database or similar solution to track key dates (expirations, renewals), performance, risk, and demand.
  • Evaluate and implement available products and services to manage all phases of the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of sufficient resources and optimum performance of the contract management and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Ensure the maintenance of required vendor documentation within systems of record.
  • Use current and future spend data to help build a sourcing project pipeline and develop overall cost reduction plans.
  • Owner of top-to-top executive level strategic meetings and plans with all technology vendor partners.
  • Collaborate with business and functional leaders to understand needs and scope deliverables required for all technology related consulting services.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports to support teammate development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.

Knowledge And Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required:

  • Expert level experience implementing and maintaining contract management, procure to pay, and spend analysis programs.
  • Expert level master data management.
  • Expert level data gathering and analysis.
  • Expert level with IT procurement and sourcing functions.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
  • Ten or more years’ experience in data supply chain management, or relevant field.
  • Experience leading complex global business transformation in a consumer-facing / consumer service industry (particularly healthcare, hospitality, or retail), or high-volume professional services desirable.

Other Qualifications

Strong customer relations skills. Experienced leader and manager in a team-oriented environment with strong relationship management skills. Ability to manage in a multi-site organization. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
