  • Keen interpersonal skills to manage conflicts and foster positive employee relations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60-70% as required.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Strategy and Leadership

  • Provide visionary leadership to a team of 3 Regional HR Business Partners supporting multi-site manufacturing environments across the US and Canada.
  • Cultivate an environment of growth, development, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align talent management strategies with business objectives.
  • Set the strategic direction for talent initiatives, balancing long and short-term goals while managing processes and people effectively.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Strengthen the employer-employee relationship by leading constructive labor relations (where applicable), process improvements, and engagement programs.
  • Guide HR leaders on employee relations issues, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, coaching, and professional development for operations and plant team members.

Workforce Planning and Development

  • Partner with the Chief Operations Officer and Operations Management team to effectively plan for staffing needs, succession, and training efforts.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and implement best-in-class talent management practices to drive competitive advantage.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators, and optimize processes and practices.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies across all field locations, addressing legal or ethical concerns promptly.
  • Support a robust safety culture and effectively manage workers' compensation claims for optimal outcomes.
  • Present HR metrics, initiatives, and outcomes to senior management, demonstrating the strategic impact of talent management efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field; Master's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a multi-site environment.
  • Merger & Acquisition integration experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal/state employment laws.
