Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Supervise and guide the team of Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisors.
  • Lead the implementation and management of AS9100 Quality Systems.
  • Actively participate as a leader or team member in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Systems and Process Management:

  • Design and maintain systems for quality control, assurance, and process management to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
  • Develop control plans, FMEAs, and other quality planning documents.
  • Establish and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training for employees on quality control, SPC, assurance practices, auditing, and necessary documentation.
  • Oversee and document employee training activities and manage various programs/projects aimed at continuous improvement of company systems and products.

Auditing and Compliance:

  • Conduct audits of products, processes, and systems to assess the effectiveness of corrective actions taken.
  • Review Manufacturing Operation Sheets to ensure that changes in manufacturing processes or methods do not negatively impact quality or breach contractual obligations.

Corrective Action and Improvement:

  • Perform root cause analysis and manage closed-loop corrective actions.
  • Coordinate failure analysis for returned discrepant products, ensuring effective cause identification and corrective actions.
  • Develop and enforce procedures for the timely resolution of discrepant materials and assess associated costs and responsibilities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
  • 5+ years' relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with ISO9000:2000, AS9100 Quality Systems, ISO17025, NADCAP, and AS13100 standards.
  • Proven experience conducting internal and supplier audits in accordance with AS 9100 Rev D.
  • Skilled in applying statistical methods for process control, capability analysis, and gage R&R studies.
