Position Overview:

As the Clinical Research Director, you will oversee and manage all aspects of clinical research activities within the organization. The Clinical Research Director will work closely with cross-functional departments to drive the successful execution of clinical research projects. The ideal candidate will be strategic, detail-oriented, and committed to advancing clinical research initiatives to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Your initial focus will be to develop Teladoc’s clinical research strategy and agenda, aligned with the company’s goals. Ongoing, the focus will be on advancing virtual care research and innovation, establishing a culture of research and rigor that understands the importance of internal and external credibility
  • Establish oversight, policies, and procedures to ensure rigorous research activities and results for dissemination, adhere to robust ethical, and regulatory standards
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product development, data science and technology teams, to integrate research findings into the company’s offerings.
  • Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with external research institutions, clinical sites, and other partners to enhance research capabilities and opportunities.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present research findings to clinical scientific community through presentations and manuscripts in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals. Additionally, progress reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders will be vital.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in telehealth and clinical research methodologies, incorporating new approaches and technologies into research practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD required with a focus on clinical research, medical science, or related disciplines. Track record of successful funding and academic output including high priority journals and findings.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical research required, with experience in telehealth, digital health research, or cardiometabolic conditions, highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proven ability to design, conduct, and manage complex clinical research. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and research methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and proactive problem-solver with a passion for advancing telehealth research and improving patient care. Keen ability to influence and collaborate with our data science team, clinical partners and other, key stakeholders .

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $20,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
