Base pay range

$106,700.00/yr - $177,900.00/yr
The Sourcing Senior Manager will be an individual contributor responsible for leading Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activities at Cox Automotive on behalf of Supply Chain Management (SCM). This leader will have comprehensive category management and strategic sourcing expertise across diverse portfolio areas that enables savings/value realization for Cox. This role will perform extensive analysis of potential acquisitions and divestitures that allows for the development of due diligence summaries, blueprint/integration templates, savings identification and synergy capture plan, coordination of Supply Chain activities, interface with cross-functional teams, integration and continuity planning, change management activities, separation plans for divestitures, and communications regarding status/progress of M&A activities.

Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions

  • Analyze acquisition target's response to SCM intake questions with an emphasis on spend data, Suppliers, contracts, org. structure, processes, Legal resources, signature authorities, Procurement (use of P-T cards, purchase order volume, punch-out catalogs, etc.), Transportation and MRO, category strategy planning, and demand/process management.
  • Review the Target's procurement and supply chain strategies, policies, and process.
  • Examine supply base, including contracts, performance, and critical dependencies.
  • Identify and execute potential cost synergies and areas of opportunity to deliver value.
  • Develop integration plan for Supply Chain and Procurement functions.
  • Prepare due diligence summaries that highlight potential synergies and risk for Leadership.
  • Develop blueprint/integration templates that inform Day 1, transition, and end state.
  • Load integration plans into technology tool, report on progress, and manage to plan.
  • Lead coordination of SCM activities, including weekly update calls and interface with cross-functional teams such as Legal, AP, and IT.
  • Monitor the progress of synergies achievement and savings realization.
  • Lead Change Management (CM) activities including training and org. structure changes.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics to measure the impacts of CM.
  • Lead/Deliver separation activities for divestitures including contract identification and collection, P-T card management and closure, entanglement mapping, contribution to Transition Service Agreement (TSA) creation and fulfillment, stranded cost assessments, TSA Supplier consent collection, Supplier outreach, etc.
  • Communicate/Inform SCM leadership of M&A activities, status, progress, and next steps.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 12 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 10 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 7 years' experience in a related field; or 16 years' experience in a related field.
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and boundary partners.
  • Demonstrated excellence in sourcing and procurement to deliver optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) outcomes.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and take necessary actions to continuously improve the value proposition for our customers.
  • Career history of success and advancing to increased responsibility and scope.
  • Proven experience in category strategy development and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Strong knowledge of category management processes and best practices.
  • Experienced/knowledgeable in negotiating business terms and conditions.
  • Strong ability to interpret legal terms and conditions and their impact.
  • Strong reporting and financial acumen skills.
  • Ability to solve problems that require research, investigation, and engagement of cross-functional leaders to define and solve.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate with other Cox functions, divisions, departments, and Sourcing teams (and in alignment with Cox's values and culture).
  • Strong ability to influence with shared interests to adopt policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Exceptional ability to relate and build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to formulate (and articulate) strategies in a complex business environment. Strong propensity to lead and influence.
  • Exceptional negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong aptitude for customer service and stakeholder engagement (customer-centric).

Preferred

  • MS degree + 6 years of experience preferred in a related discipline (i.e., Business, Supply Chain, etc.); OR Ph.D + 3 years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Experience in Automotive industry desired with emphasis on Supply Chain.
  • Prefer certification in Supply Chain Management (ISM), CPM, or related.
  • Program management leadership experience
  • Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Prior M&A integration and divestiture experience with an emphasis on Supply Chain.
  • Previous consulting experience.

USD 106,700.00 - 177,900.00 per year

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
