Software Engineering Director

The Software Engineering Director will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and testing of systems within the organization to align with the growth of Choice Bank.

Functional responsibility of this role entails heading the Data and Architecture functions across the firm. This role will be leading a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement significant improvements to core systems and business processes in support of the organization’s growth, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals. This will be done by streamlining initiatives by utilizing internal resources, leading, and executing on projects aligned with the organizational strategy.

The Software Engineering Director will provide leadership, strategic planning, financial governance, and operational management for a team of Software Engineers and Data Analysts. This role supports the team in adapting and improving systems by coaching, mentoring and supporting with adequate resources.

This position will also assist in the support of end users by monitoring the systems and delivering effective response to issues, adapt technologies to meet the needs of the organization, and interact with other teams to identify root causes.

Specifically, The Software Engineering Director Will

• Oversee the design, development, and testing of applications according to the necessary needs of the organization.
• Work with end users to improve workflows, demonstrate new features, support their usage, and resolve issues related to company software and its usage.
• Coordinate and collaborate with vendors, partners, and leaders to design and develop technology solutions to the set guidelines, architecture & design principles, and business objectives.
• Analyze end user needs to determine technical requirements. Lead technical design discussions and analysis to determine solutions.
• Adapt and improve systems to stay ahead or align with the growth of the organization.
• Provide ongoing information and updates to team members to assist in troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues.
• Effectively manage a team to accomplish initiatives.
  
  

Position may be worked remotely within the United States.

10% travel to regional offices and client meetings within the US.
