Washington Supply & Chain is seeking a Quality and Safety Manager!
Washington Chain and Supply, Inc. has been serving the marine, industrial and offshore industries since 1954 and it maintains one of the largest inventories of anchors, chains, and fittings in the United States.
This position’s foremost responsibility is coordinating designated quality initiatives, such as European standards (ISO) and Total Quality Management (TQM) and has responsibility for safety related tasks. Responsible for planning, administering, and implementing assigned projects, which may cross several functional areas. Typical duties include preparation and delivery of related training, measuring, and recording organization performance progress, serving as a liaison to outside consultants and auditors and participating in vendor qualification.
An ideal candidate will be able to roll up their sleeves and get involved in being part of the team. Having a background in the steel industry and knowledge of welding is preferred. It is critical that this candidate has worked with an ISO 9001:2015 Program as well as a Safety Program. Washington Supply & Chain is seeking candidates that have the following skills and abilities:
- 3+ Years of Quality Management experience, specifically ISO 9001:2015 experience.
- 2+ Years of Safety Management experience.
- Have led a successful ISO Audit without non-conformance findings.
- Ability to conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, or stability samples
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
- Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions
- Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions
- Identify quality problems and recommend solutions
- Evaluates the potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents and developing accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization
Washington Chain & Supply covers 100% of premiums for employee and eligible dependents medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 4% employer matching retirement contributions, Paid Time Off, Sick Leave and Holiday Pay.
