National Account Manager (Health Systems)

PCCA United States

Do you love the relationships you’ve built with health systems, but wish you could work for a company that values your strategic input?

Are you an accomplished health system salesperson who’s craving something more meaningful? No doubt, signing up clients and facilitating sales are important, but if you find yourself yearning for an opportunity to develop deeper, more rewarding relationships with hospital pharmacists, then this could be the role where you find both success and a sense of purpose.

The Position: National Account Manager - Health Systems

Are you a critical thinker with the desire to help others discover better outcomes? Do you get excited about introducing hospital pharmacies to solutions that can improve their world? Great, because our offering is designed to help health systems optimize their compounding, so they can develop their insourcing rather than just continue outsourcing.

Of course, with the zest of a natural salesperson, you pride yourself on being responsive, courteous and proactive. That’s why you don’t mind doing your homework and have the patience and skill to navigate hospital sales.

Your determination serves you very well, but when you have a team of expert compounding pharmacists backing you, the conversations with clients and potential clients can be more meaningful and productive from the beginning. Naturally, that means being familiar with compounding regulations/guidelines is a big advantage for you in this role.

You aim high, and so do we.

At PCCA, we use our compounding expertise to help health systems step up their compounding practices and patient care. That’s why we need YOU on our small and mighty, but growing team.

Because you’re nimble, curious and naturally helpful, you’ll use your high drive and superb communication skills to get the ball rolling. You’ll see you’re making a difference when prospects start asking in-depth questions and digging into the value of our offering. As you sign up and onboard new clients, you’ll serve as a bridge between our knowledgeable, yet congenial, clinical compounding team and the pharmacists at hospitals.

Each day will offer interesting new challenges, but through collaboration, reporting and analysis we’ll build relationships and foster business growth while connecting hospital pharmacies to sources, services and training that helps them level up their operations. Of course this role requires some travel, but you won’t be on the road all the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing health system pharmacy clients. Act as the primary point of contact, providing exceptional service and support that drives client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Business Growth: Identify opportunities to expand the presence of PCCA products and services within existing health system accounts. Collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions that enhance their operations and drive mutual success.
  • New Business Development: Proactively seek and secure new hospital and health system clients, utilizing a strategic approach to business development. Present PCCA’s value proposition and navigate complex sales cycles to bring new clients on board.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute account management plans that align with overall company objectives. Analyze market trends, client feedback, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and drive growth.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and client care, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions that meet client needs. Serve as a voice for the customer within PCCA, advocating for enhancements that will improve client outcomes.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and market insights. Provide regular reports on account performance, growth opportunities, and business development progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Five years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, preferably with health systems or hospital pharmacy.
  • Foundational understanding of trends within the health system landscape, with a focus on drug compounding operations and regulations
  • Established track record of managing an existing portfolio of accounts through implementation of high-end services or solutions
  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a results-oriented mindset and excellent organizational, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Requires 40% travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

The Company You Keep

We suspect you’re craving a positive company culture where every day is a meaningful day. If this sounds like you, then you sound like us. At PCCA, we’re proud to produce truly incredible products that enable pharmacists to improve patients’ lives. That’s because in our world, the dominant mentality is “let’s make the world a better place.” You’ll see our values are more than just words on a wall – we walk the walk every day. And you’ll find our benefits are just as great as the people you’ll get to work with and the opportunities you’ll have for growth.

How high could you soar when you find value in what you’re offering?

Imagine how energized you’ll feel in a sales role that allows you to be home more, while you’re helping health systems nationwide step-up compounding practices and patient care. We know you’ll make a difference here at PCCA, too. That’s why we can’t wait to talk to you.
