Job Description
We're seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This hybrid role requires a commitment of two days per week in our Chicago office, with the remainder of the week spent remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own Procurement Category Strategies to optimize third-party expenditure across various areas including IT, Marketing, Consultancy, Facilities, HR, Operations, and Business Services.
Ensure delivery of goods and services at the lowest ultimate cost while meeting audit and compliance standards.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to exceed expectations and drive synergies across our organization.
Lead sourcing activities and manage supplier relationships to enhance procurement effectiveness.
Communicate strategy, purchasing updates, and contract information clearly to stakeholders.
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate support for projects and initiatives.
Ensure contractual conditions mitigate risks effectively for our organization.
Key Requirements
Minimum 10 years of international procurement or category leadership experience, specializing in Marketing and Sales categories.
Proven track record in managing high-complexity projects and sourcing processes, including negotiation of contracts.
Strong understanding of Marketing and Sales procurement markets in the US and Europe.
Excellent negotiation, strategic sourcing, and contracting abilities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification; CIPS/BME certification preferred.
Ability to analyze complex data and drive change management effectively.
