$70,000-$80,000 plus bonus

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise, direct, evaluate, and assist subordinates in their daily performance by setting goals and objectives.
• Possess a working knowledge of and ability to train on Statistical Quality Control and Statistical Process Control.
• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the lab as well as address issues accordingly.
• Maintain and coordinate total quality practices within the Quality Control Department.
• Play a significant role in day- to-day operations and will spend 95% of your time on the production floor working with technicians and plant personnel.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on company needs
• Ensure compliance with SQF and other relevant standards.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

• 3 or more years of experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a quality assurance role.
• Experience working in a bakery/baking facility is a plus.
• Management / supervisory experience in quality.
• Understands the importance of all quality aspects of the food industry including, but not limited to; personal GMP’s, lot code tracking, product quality monitoring, audit records and recall procedure.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Highly self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies. Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with ability to improve and promote quality.
