We're looking for a top-tier Head of Engineering with extensive software experience to lead our engineering team and own responsibility for our entire codebase and product stack. This critical leadership role will work closely with the CEO to run our most important organizational function.
Responsibilities
Full stack engineering on a React Typescript, FastAPI Python, Rust, and PostgreSQL stack
Managing our cloud infrastructure in AWS
Building production machine learning pipelines to generate statistical models
Developing our iOS and Android mobile app in React Native
Scaling our backend and database to support millions of voter contacts
Managing, mentoring, and recruiting our team of software engineers
Planning our product roadmap and sprint schedule
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
Significant experience in software engineering and engineering management
Familiarity with our technical stack
Bonus Points
You have held management roles in mature engineering orgs
You are an expert in cross-platform mobile development
You can relocate to our HQ in Washington, D.C.
