Medical Science Liaison


Therapeutic Area Focus: Hematology


Location: Northeast


Our partner is looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating scientific exchange with clinicians, KOL’s and other health care providers to provide clinical/scientific support in the Hematology space.


The MSL/Sr. MSL functions as a regional medical and scientific resource who works in collaboration with other functions within the organization. The MSL works under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director, Field Medical Affairs.


Key Responsibilities:


• Develops and sustains relationships with relevant HCPs through various channels (1:1, group presentations, virtual).

• Engages in scientific exchange with HCPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines and policies.

• Evaluates treatment patterns by meeting HCPs to understand their needs.

• Successfully completes onboarding training and maintains certification standards.

• Keeps updated on clinical guidelines, unmet needs, and prepares to address HCPs' requirements.

• Shares insights with cross-functional partners for strategic planning updates.

• Engages with professional societies and patient advocacy groups as appropriate.

• Aligns territory plan with Medical Affairs objectives and contributes to cross-functional planning.

• Provides clinical/scientific support at meetings, including data presentation and speaker evaluation.

• Focuses on Medical Affairs Field objectives and meets Key Performance Indicators.

• Ensures effective internal communication while complying with requirements.




Requirements:


• Advanced degree (PA, NP, MSN, DNP, PharmD)

• Demonstrates ability to engage and educate HCPs in community oncology settings effectively.

• Maintains current knowledge of malignant hematology treatment trends and regulatory guidelines.

• Maintenance of active and in-good-standing professional licensure, certifications, and credentials.

• Anticipated regional travel up to 75%.

• Mandatory attendance at medical conferences, team gatherings, and other group meetings, potentially including weekends.


Salary - $180,000 - $215,000 (Depending on Experience)
