General Counsel

Robert Half is partnering with a rapidly growing e-commerce company to find a General Counsel for their Aventura, FL headquarters. This position offers the opportunity to lead a team of in-house counsel, with significant potential for professional growth. Base salary up to $250,000, along with bonuses and equity. The role requires 2 days in the office and 3 days remote work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements related to technology, operations, privacy, intellectual property, real estate, and vendor contracts.
• Develop, implement, and manage a compliance program.
• Oversee legal, regulatory, and reputational risk management and associated costs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a team of in-house legal professionals.
• Work closely with the CEO and senior management on Board communications, including attending all Board meetings.
• Coordinate with the parent company's legal department and manage relationships with external legal counsel.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active membership with the Florida Bar.
• At least 8 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a General Counsel role with e-commerce experience.
• Ability to interpret legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of complex commercial transactions.
• Strong ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
