What You'll Do

As a Director Human Resources (HR) with a business partner focus, you will play a strategic role in aligning business objectives with employees and management across Ascend Learning. You will be instrumental in crafting and implementing HR strategies that foster organizational and people development, ensuring we continue to drive innovation and excellence. Your leadership will be pivotal in nurturing our culture and guiding our talent to new heights of success.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS office location.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

• Developing and executing HR strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization
• Providing guidance and leadership to business teams, fostering an environment of growth and development
• Partnering with leadership to enhance workforce productivity and talent development
• Leading organizational change initiatives and managing HR-related communications
• Overseeing employee relations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Utilizing data analytics to drive decision-making and measure effectiveness
• Championing and collaborating across departments to integrate HR strategic initiatives throughout the business
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other areas combined with relevant work experience is preferred or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of HR experience
• Proven experience as a strategic HR leader with a track record of driving organizational productivity and success
• Demonstrated experience of HR functions, including talent development, succession management, organization development and employee relations
• Exceptional consulting and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a large, fast paced, matrixed organization
• Proficiency in data-driven HR approaches
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
