Summary

At Magnolia, the Food Content Editor is responsi ble for supporting the Food Research and Development team . Th e Food Conten t Editor organizes departmental projects, maintain s the recipe l ibrary , a nd oversee s any other creative aspects of projects for the food team . This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Food Resear ch and Development and has no supervisory responsibilities .

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure the digital recipe library is maintained and organized , c ollaborat ing with team members as needed to verify files are consistent
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recipe records , editing as needed to ensure high quality content in all recipes *
  • Assist in test kitchen with recipe testing and refinement
  • Collaborate with food operations and creative teams to d raft new recipe names
  • Draft and coordinate recipe editing for cookbooks and manage timeline for recipe development *
  • Conduct experiment s , formulate new food products, and analyze data for new offerings
  • Translate annual food creative food plan into project calendars with deadlines, responsibilities, and follow through details*
  • Coordinate deadlines, milestones, and deliverables while communicating project progress to Food team members and cross-functional partners *
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team to align posting schedules and content
  • Order supplies, ingredients, and props based on demand
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Eligibility Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience with a related degree, 4-7 years of experience with a non-related degree, or 5+ years of industry experience preferred
  • Administrative or project management experience required ; experience in the Food industry preferred
  • Texas Food Handler’s license required
  • Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events , and holidays as business needs require

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and kitchen appliances. The employee is frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, and cleaning chemicals. The employee is exposed to hot and cold temperatures. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
