We are looking for a Quality Improvement Manager to join our clinics! Under the direction of the Compliance Officer, the Quality Improvement Manager will provide oversight for all aspects QI services. Oversees related data collection, analysis and internal and external reporting of demographic and outcome measures. This position works closely with Operations and Clinic Office Managers. The Quality Manager directs, oversees, plans, coordinates, and evaluates a comprehensive program to improve clinical outcomes, enhance value, and minimize patient harm. The Quality Improvement Manager reports monthly to the Board Planning and QI Committee. This position also organizes all Quality Management meetings, ensuring minutes are maintained and making recommendations to the committee based on best practice and current regulatory standards.

Essential Functions (but Not Limited To)

  • Reviews Clinical and Administrative manuals; uses multi-disciplinary communication and collaboration in the agency as manuals are drafted or undergo updating.
  • Serves as an internal consultant to administration and staff in the areas of regulatory, process improvement, performance monitoring, and statistical analysis.
  • Manages performance improvement projects (PIP’s), flow and alignment to assure milestones and key performance indicators are met within defined parameters.
  • Ensures QI Calendar and PIP’s are planned by March for the coming year.
  • Compiles Patient Satisfaction data on a quarterly basis for presentation to the QI Committee and Board Planning and QI.
  • Participates in the Risk Management Committee and works with department leaders to resolve investigations within the incident reporting system.
  • Ensures proper oversight and that reporting of all research projects in the agency is complete.
  • Contribute findings of current “best practice” standards for health care, regulatory standards, evidence-based principles, and accreditation standards.
  • Assures the agency meets all health promotion/disease prevention programs requirements.
  • Acts as liaison with local state and national agencies and assists in establishing support service linkage, formal and informal.
  • Acts as liaison to CHPW and other Managed Care QI Department responding to their requests for mortality reports, customer complaints, and quality care issues.
  • Participates in chart review, audit, and research related to quality-of-care concerns.
  • Participates in evaluation and outcomes reporting for grant-supported programs.
  • Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Conducts random inspections and quality control checks.
  • Provides QI support as requested to agency-third party collaborative QI projects.
  • Helps plan, organize, and deliver in-service presentations promoting understanding of the QI program activities, including QA/QM/QI concepts.
  • Manager clinical quality portion of UDS reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Nursing OR Master’s degree in related field
  • Three year’s experience in community or ambulatory healthcare
  • Clinical, supervisory, and administrative experience.
  • Current Washington State RN Licensure if RN.
  • Or related combination of experience and education.
