Mahjong Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Mahjong Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of Mahjong-related projects, from development through execution. This role requires a deep understanding of Mahjong gameplay, community engagement, and event management. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences to players, both online and offline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage Mahjong-related projects, tournaments, and community events, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and community managers to develop and launch new Mahjong initiatives.
• Oversee the planning and execution of Mahjong tournaments, events, and community outreach programs.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively manage challenges to ensure successful outcomes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Mahjong communities, influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Conduct market research to stay informed of trends and opportunities in the Mahjong industry.
• Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders, including status reports, project metrics, and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  
  

KEY SUCCESS INDICATORS:

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is preferred.
• Proven experience in project management, ideally within gaming, events, or community engagement.
• In-depth knowledge of Mahjong rules, strategies, and community dynamics.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience working in a gaming or entertainment setting.
• Multilingual skills, especially in languages relevant to key Mahjong markets (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese).
• Experience in event management or esports is highly desirable.
