IT Tester

Job Title: IT Tester

Basic Purpose: Perform integration, regression, and functional testing on systems to ensure compliance with system requirements and our clients business practices and policies. Assist in analyzing functional and technical requirements and creating and editing test cases for new or modified systems. Lead tasks ranging from basic/routine to complex/difficult with moderate to considerable scope and latitude.

Responsibilities

• Certify system testing is complete and ready for production.
• Create and edit test cases in accordance with system requirements.
• Create, modify, and/or locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases.
• Identify areas for improved testing processes.
• Modify, coordinate, and schedule input to maintain the test environments.
• Report testing activity, including time spent, testing time lost, and discrepancies found.
• Serve as test lead on projects.
• Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material.
• Manage full life-cycle project management:
• Develop project plan/scope/schedule/communications.
• Procure and/or manage timelines, deadlines, and quality.
• Handle risk, issue, and change management.
• Ensure successful project implementation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert regarding business functions, systems, policies, and/or procedures.
• Assist with addressing application inquiries or problem resolution as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to work a W2 contract. We can not do C2C arrangements. At this time we can only accept the following: US Citizens, GC EAD, GC Holders, TN VISAS.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in testing complex systems across various platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including ITIL, SDLC, etc.
• Advanced organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skill in maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Effective experience with agile methodology.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of APIs and API testing.
• Experience with database testing.
• Effective skill in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  
  

Workdays: Monday – Friday

Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time

Location: Fully remote. Candidates must reside within the continental United States.

Note: Employee may be required to work outside normal working hours to provide technical support during product implementation or product support efforts.
