Role

Trail of Bits' Technical Marketing team seeks a Technical Content Manager who excels in creating high-quality, technical software security content that resonates with key technical decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing quality and consistent content across multiple platforms and a solid understanding of one or more of the following: AI/ML, application security, blockchain, cryptography, or open-source security research.

Our team is deeply embedded in the cybersecurity community, producing and sharing cutting-edge research as an integral part of our work. We are committed to open-source collaboration, and when we make discoveries or advancements, we strive to share our insights broadly.

In this role, you will work closely with security engineers and the marketing team to effectively communicate Trail of Bits' offerings. Your exceptional copywriting, editing, and content strategy skills will be key in driving our content marketing initiatives and maintaining the voice of Trail of Bits across various channels.

What You'll Achieve

  • Content Creation and SEO: Create and guide high-quality, technical content that appeals to key technical decision-makers. Strong experience in search engine optimization for niche terms.
  • Technical Proficiency: Quickly grasp the technical nuances of Trail of Bits' services. Be Familiar with web3, AI/ML, cryptography, and application security.
  • Multi-Channel Marketing: Experience across various channels, including social media, webinars, sales documentation, content syndication, and email marketing.
  • Company Voice: Understand, codify, and embody the Trail of Bits voice externally.
  • Strategic Content Development: Craft, reuse and optimize engaging content across multiple platforms, including newsletters, websites, blogs, podcasts, social media, white papers, and sales documentation, driving audience growth and conversion rates.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across our Assurance, Technical Editing, Sales, and Engineering departments to gather information and develop content supporting company initiatives, service launches, and thought leadership.
  • Industry Knowledge and Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and evolving content formats to continually enhance content marketing initiatives.
  • Content Optimization: Content repurposing to maximize the value and reach of each piece of content, especially for high-performing content.
  • Content Strategy and Planning: Work with the marketing team to identify content needs, updates, and revisions to develop a workable content roadmap.
  • Conversion-driven Content: Ensure content is aligned with the buyer's journey and addresses the needs of various personas and stages of the sales funnel.

Reporting Manager: Technical Marketing Manager

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000, excluding benefits and potential bonuses. Various factors influence our salary ranges, including the specific role, level of seniority, geographic location, and the nature of the employment contract. An individual's specific work location, unique skills, experience, and relevant educational background will determine the final offer within this range. The presented salary range encompasses the starting salaries for all U.S. locations.
