Vice President

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President in New York, New York

Design, develop, test and modify highly complex planning analytics software engine. Build high performance scalable software helping financial advisors to manage funds for wealth management clients and goals-based planning including estate planning and retirement planning. Write technical specification documents for software modules and components. Responsible for business interactions through the entire software development life cycle. Provide support in business-critical hours. Work on the transformation of Financial Advisory software models with goals based wealth management and supplementing with the robo advisory platform using leading edge Morgan Stanley financial modeling research and cutting-edge digital technology initiatives.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Technology Associate, Programmer Analyst, IT Analyst, Software Developer or a closely related occupation in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Financial planning domains including retirement planning and Monte Carlo simulation; C#; Net Framework; ASP.Net; Model–View–Controller; JavaScript; Entity Framework; Continuous integration tools including TeamCity; Blockchain technology; SQL Server; IBM DB2; and Data architecture. Requires four (4) years of experience with: Windows Communication Foundation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: NodeJS; MEAN stack development; Solution Architecture; and Product Engineering. Requires one year of experience with: Angular; Azure; Docker; and Cloud-Native Architecture. Requires any amount of experience with: AWS; Google Cloud Platform; and Kubernetes.
