Fund) lightens the burdens and lifts the spirits of families caring for children living with

chronic illnesses, conditions, or injuries. We provide financial assistance and direct support

for needs not covered by insurance and a variety of respite programs for families residing in

or children receiving care in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. We also advocate for

and provide educational resources to families nationwide.

Role Description

The Dolan Fund seeks a gifted communications and fundraising professional with the

experience and skills to manage external communications and fundraising initiatives and

events. The successful candidate will be a committed and creative individual who embraces

the Dolan Fund’s mission. Working closely with our Executive Director and other staff, the

Communications & Fundraising Manager is the principal designer and executor of the

Foundation’s communications plan. This will enhance our voice and strengthen our

fundraising channels, including propelling donors up the pipeline and boosting donor

retention rates.

Communications & Fundraising Manager Position Responsibilities

Communications Responsibilities:

• Communications Plan – Create, manage, and execute a communications plan

incorporating traditional media, website, social media, and other tools as needed that

strategically attract interest, followers, and donors.

• Traditional Media – Establish and maintain relationships with professionals in the

TV, radio, and print sectors.

• Website – Introduce web content, including blog posts, additions, and page updates as

needed.

• Annual Report – Design, prepare, and circulate the Dolan Fund’s annual report to all

stakeholders.

Fundraising Responsibilities:

• Prospect Management – Engage existing and prospective donors in experiences that

improve and deepen relationships.

• Grants – Provide support for the preparation of grant proposals and required reports.

• Major Donors – Work collaboratively to grow the Dolan Fund’s pool of major donor

prospects via a structured identification, cultivation, and solicitation plan.

• Appeals – Design special and annual fundraising appeals through all communication

platforms.

• Events – Plan exceptional events and coordinate staff/volunteer/board participation.

General Responsibilities:

• Data Management – Develop and implement procedures to update and maintain the

Dolan Fund’s donor/constituent database.

• Data Analysis – Perform reviews and segmentation of donor/constituent data to

ensure the Dolan Fund is gaining a fuller understanding of the desires and priorities

held by all types of funders.

• Correspondence – Ensure the acknowledgement of gifts/donations and maintain

effective communication with donors/constituents between giving opportunities.

Communications & Fundraising Manager Position Qualifications:

• Connection: Strong alignment with the Dolan Fund’s Mission of assisting families caring

for a child living with a chronic illness, condition, or injury.

• Experience: Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience.

• Skills: Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising CRMs.

Salary/Benefits:

The salary range is $55,000-$60,000, based on qualifications, experience, and strong

references. The benefits package includes a contribution to a healthcare plan and additional

funds for professional development. Vacation includes three weeks of personal time off along

with standard Federal holidays.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Communications and Fundraising Manager at Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund in Fort Washington, PA. The Communications and Fundraising Manager will be responsible for overseeing communication, events,and fundraising efforts to support the organization's mission. Will require some nights and weekends.
