NeoGenomics has an opening for a Facilities Manager in Houston who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is an onsite position with a Monday – Friday day shift.

Position Summary

As the Facilities Manager you will provide oversight for facilities engineering, maintenance and other facilities services associated with administrative areas as well as wet and dry laboratory areas for multiple sites. You will manage the day-to-day activities of facility maintenance employees, vendors and contractors involved in the repair and maintenance of facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations in regard to facilities management
• Ensure compliance with all NeoGenomics quality, safety and security policies
• Resolve emergency issues as they arise
• Contribute to and potentially lead the design, planning, and project management for site construction and maintenance projects
• Contribute to the planning and management of department expense budget
• Actively manage facilities technicians
• Contribute to and potentially oversee the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and facilities expansion
• Oversee preventative and general maintenance of building infrastructure
• Support EHS department with implementation and resolution of EHS / Compliance facility related issues; actively participate on EHS Safety Committee
  
  

Experience & Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, Associates Degree Preferred
• 6 years previous facilities experience required
• Advanced knowledge of building HVAC and electrical systems is required
• 5 years previous facilities management experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred
• Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred
• IFMA Certified Facility Manager credential is preferred
• Ability to read and review blueprints, schematics and operating manuals to fix, repair and maintain facilities equipment is preferred
• Flexible work schedule to include possible off duty calls
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instruction
• Adheres to department specific safety guidelines
• Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, manual manipulation, and lifting up to 50 pounds
