About the Company:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Hospital Partnerships (VPHP) will be a pivotal member of the Senior Leadership team. The primary role is to oversee existing and develop new hospital parterships and internal programs. Our client is a regional organ procurement organization in California.


About the Role:

The VP, Hospital Partnerships (VPHP) is responsible for overseeing the management, oversight, performance, fiscal management, strategic planning, staffing, and regulatory compliance of Hospital parnterships, relationships and development. The VPHP is responsible for developing and formulating short and long-term strategies and programs designed to improve the regulatory compliance position. The VPHP will assist the CEO in the effective execution of strategic initiatives, as well as, the management of all Hospital Partnerships related quality assurance, logistics, continuous improvement, facility, and regulatory compliance activities. The VPHP will provide the strategic direction, management, and leadership for the acute care hospitals to increase organ and tissue donation and transplantation through staff development, guidance, mentoring, training, and oversight, as well as the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies in the areas of hospital development.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the management of Hospital Partnerships departments and collaborates with OneLegacy’s Executive Team to ensure compliance with all current federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations including Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), and United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), accrediting organizations’ Standards including American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA), and OneLegacy Policies and Procedures (P&P).
  • Collaborates will the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the effective execution of strategic initiatives, as well as, the management of all Hospital Partnerships related quality assurance, supply chain, logistics, continuous improvement, facility, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Provides strategic direction in establishing, implementing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPI’s), metrics, and monthly/annual goals for the Hospital Partnerships department.
  • Oversee the successful execution of the hospital education program, including symposiums, roundtables, in-service programs and the Online Continuing Education Program offering continued education units to hospital clinicians.
  • Collaborate with all internal disciplines and stakeholders and hospital partners to enhance performance outcomes and streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, medical staff, and key stakeholders in face-to-face and peer-to-peer conversations to promote a positive donation culture and facilitate donation process.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Organ and Tissue industry and related policies, practices, trends, and information through participation in AATB, AOPO, EBAA and other industry related professional organizations.
  • Addresses and resolves hospital issues timely and satisfactorily


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Holds Hospital Partnerships, leadership, and staff accountable to organizational and department performance metrics
  2. Maintains professional working relationship and rapport with all management and staff; and works to resolve issues as needed


Job Qualifications:


Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Master’s Degree preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in Hospital and/or OPO and five (5) years’ experience in an Executive role or equivalent work experience required.


Experience:

15+ years of work experience in marketing, partnerships and/or business development, experience in healthcare, finance or investment banking, is preferred.


Proven record of accomplishments in delivering quantifiable impact to the bottom line with past P&L/line responsibility.


Process-oriented with very strong analytical capabilities.


Minimum 5 years’ senior level management experience required.

A minimum of 8 years demonstrated managerial experience.


Minimum 5 years of extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of Marketing and/or Communications (or comparable experience with a communications agency or in-house equivalent).


Minimum 5 years of proven leadership and results as a senior executive with broad responsibilities in a company of 100+ employees and annual revenue / budget responsibility in excess of $50 million preferred.


An understanding of the role of digital media in integrated communications strategies.


Experience working with Board/Advisory Committees and Boards.


Legislative, non-profit, healthcare and/or public relations experience preferred. Healthcare background, knowledge and/or experience are preferred.


Bilingual: English / Spanish (able to fluently speak, read and write English and Spanish), strongly preferred.
