Quality Manager, Aerospace (Relocate to Milwaukee)

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense organization headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, is looking for a Quality Manager to oversee the implementation and maintenance of the companies Quality System.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to AS9110 requirements and standards under the guidance of the Director of Quality (DOQ).
• Actively contribute to the maintenance of Quality Manuals and associated documentation.
• Collaborate with the DOQ in executing Internal Audit and Corrective Action programs for quality systems.
• Assist in the training of personnel on quality standards and protocols.
• Provide support to the DOQ in managing customer returns and vendor claims.
• Engage in receiving and shipping inspection as well as quality control functions as necessary.
• Identify non-conforming parts, generate reports, and initiate corrective actions as directed by the DOQ.
• Aid in conducting Vendor Quality Surveys/Audits for vendor approval alongside the DOQ.
• Maintain approved vendor lists and quality records under the supervision of the DOQ.
• Ensure the currency of required publications.
• Monitor shelf life and life-limited products to ensure proper documentation and storage.
• Oversee the scrap program and maintain accurate scrap documentation.
• Manage company records as per quality and export compliance systems directives from the DOQ.
• Undertake any additional tasks delegated by the DOQ related to maintaining the Quality System.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Competence in interpreting aircraft drawings and technical data.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9110 standards is essential
