Role Overview

Our client seeks a Director of M&A to spearhead negotiations, business development & transaction executions. The Director will have extensive knowledge of market dynamics & be able to accurately analyze & assess potential acquisitions. The successful candidate will also be skilled in building & maintaining relationships as well as in managing a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Closely track community solar markets across the country – from policies to development strategies
• Lead negotiations & produce compelling offers
• Manage more junior team members & support them in analyzing acquisition opportunities
• Develop new partner relationships as well as grow existing relationships
• Support due diligence activities – from development to legal to finance
• Work cohesively with origination team members
• Manage closings in coordination with finance team
• Liaise with interconnection, engineering & construction management personnel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Innovative & analytical approach to problem solving
• Highly self-driven & able to multitask
• Strong communication skills
• Experience leading M&A teams within clean energy
• Ability to travel occasionally
