Vice President, Asset Management

We've partnered with an East Coast-based development and investment firm that is looking to bring on a Vice President of Asset Management for their growing O&M team.

This VP of Asset Management role is commercially oriented. You will oversee the operations of their entire U.S. portfolio, ensure project data is accurately submitted and accounted for, handle financial and operational reporting, manage contract negotiations and compliance, and oversee on-site inspections and tests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of a portfolio of solar + storage.
• Manage compliance of PPA's, Credit/LLC/Lease/Interconnection agreements, and permitting
• Act as main point of contact for offtakers, financers parties and transmission operators
• Cross-collaboration with Construction, Originations, Legal, Accounting, Project Finance, Procurement, and SCADA teams.
• Craft and analyze operating reports, actual to budget reports, as well as annual operating budgets.
• Manage O&M Agreements and Long-Term Services Agreements to ensure compliance from service providers and to develop long-term relationships.
• Plan and/or manage outages and unplanned maintenance.
• Conduct and analyze technical risk assessments and initiate preventive as well as corrective actions.
• Manage handoff of assets from Construction, Finance, and Development teams to Operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of asset management experience in renewables.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or a related field.
• Experience reviewing contracts for commercial terms is required.
• Track record of successfully leading renewable O&M teams nationally
