JOB TITLE: SAP PI/PO Integration Specialist with ABAP skills

LOCATION: Remote

A direct client of Robert Half’s is seeking an experienced SAP PI/PO Integration Specialist with strong ABAP development skills to support and enhance their integration solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining two key integrations: a one-way integration for Financial Reporting and Analytics and a two-way integration for eCommerce. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO) and extensive experience in ABAP programming to ensure seamless data flow between systems.

Responsibilities:

Integration Design and Development:

  • Design and implement SAP PI/PO interfaces for Financial Reporting and Analytics (one-way integration).
  • Develop and maintain a two-way integration for eCommerce, ensuring real-time data synchronization between SAP and external systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

ABAP Development:

  • Write and maintain ABAP code to support custom requirements for both integrations.
  • Optimize existing ABAP programs to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in ABAP programs and SAP PI/PO interfaces.

System Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Configure SAP PI/PO to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor and maintain the integration landscape, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Perform regular system health checks and provide proactive solutions to potential issues.

Testing and Documentation:

  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests to validate the functionality of interfaces.
  • Document technical designs, configuration settings, and operational procedures.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other IT staff as needed.

Must Have Skillsets:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO, including design, configuration, and development.
  • Extensive experience in ABAP programming, including custom report development, enhancements, and BADI implementations.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing both one-way and two-way integrations in a complex SAP environment.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Reporting and Analytics processes and eCommerce platforms.
  • Proficient in SAP PI/PO tools, including ESR, ID, and SLD.
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP, including object-oriented programming, BAPIs, and RFCs.
  • Experience with SOAP, REST, XML, IDoc, and other data exchange protocols.
