Role Description

This position is for a Director/Sr Director/Vice President of Human Resources who will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the HR strategy to support Enlaza Therapeutic’s mission and business objectives. This leader will oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance, ensuring a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards.


Responsibilities

1.Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission and business objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to drive organizational performance and culture.

2.Talent Management:

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent.
  • Develop and implement strategies for talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.

3.Employee Relations and Performance Management:

  • Establish and maintain a positive, productive, and legally compliant work environment.
  • Develop and implement performance management programs to ensure employees' performance aligns with company goals.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues promptly and effectively.

4.Compensation and Benefits:

  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitiveness and equity within the organization.

5.Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Implement leadership development programs to prepare the next generation of leaders.
  • Promote continuous learning and development across the organization.

6.Organizational Development:

  • Lead organizational change initiatives to drive company growth and efficiency.
  • Conduct organizational assessments and develop strategies to improve overall effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

7.Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Mitigate organizational risk through effective HR management practices.

8.HR Operations:

  • Oversee HR metrics and analytics to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Manage the HR budget and optimize HR processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead HR technology initiatives to improve HR service delivery.


Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in HR) preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the biotech or life sciences industry.
  • Proven track record of strategic HR leadership and organizational development.
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the biotech industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
