We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Release Management to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of our SaaS products. The Director of Release Management will oversee the end-to-end release process, ensuring all releases are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of release management best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the release management process, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing software releases across multiple environments (QA, Staging, Sandbox/Preview, and Production).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Operations, to ensure smooth and timely releases.
• Develop and maintain release management processes, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all releases.
• Establish and manage release schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Implement and manage a Sandbox/Preview environment for customers to preview new features and functionalities before production release.
• Coordinate with third-party application providers to manage APIs and ensure seamless integration across different environments.
• Monitor and track release progress, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful releases.
• Continuously improve release management processes, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the release management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Communicate release status, key metrics, and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  
  

What You've Done

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in release management or a related field, with a track record of successfully managing complex software releases.
• Strong understanding of release management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with managing APIs and third-party integrations, particularly in the context of Sandbox and Production environments.
• Knowledge of HR tech and talent management solutions is a plus.
