JK Executive Strategies has partnered exclusively with a leading document services company in its search for a CFO. This dynamic company provides an array of business-critical services including secure print and email, bid management, business process outsourcing, and managed office services, as well as technical services including digital forensics, eDiscovery, and cybersecurity.


The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations in line with the Company’s mission, vision, and values. The CFO will be responsible for analyzing, strategizing, and growing the financial position. This seasoned strategist not only understands current accounting practices and trends, but also has experience raising capital and adapting to change, whether it’s through growth or downsizing. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the finance and shared overhead accounting operations of all divisions.
  • Hire, train, and directly supervise the Controller(s) with oversight responsibility for the entire accounting department.

  • Handle discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policy.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
  • Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs.
  • Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
  • Invest significant energy toward developing and maintaining strong and productive investor relationships.
  • Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for the Board of Directors, CEO, Leadership teams, and other constituents.
  • Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee the company’s use of NetSuite, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
  • Assist in the alignment of business strategy with human resources strategy.
  • The position may also involve supervisory responsibilities for HR and/or IT.



Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
  • Possess decision-making abilities and self-confidence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in senior-level finance/accounting roles.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NetSuite ERP System and associated revenue recognition.
  • Experience in the legal services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with diverse groups, including cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
  • Capacity to communicate information effectively to varied audiences.
  • Experience overseeing HR and/or IT departments a plus.


Salary Range

  • $165K-185K plus variable compensation
