JOB SUMMARY
The Organizational Change Specialist plays a crucial role in the people side of change processes by evaluating the impact of change and facilitating training to ensure smooth transitions. The Organizational Change Specialist will report to the Organizational Change Manager and support the Organizational Development and Learning and Development Department to actualize organizational change. The Organizational Change Specialist is a builder of the capacity of individuals to adopt and implement change.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform change impact analyses and facilitate change management strategies.
- Design and deliver training programs that support organizational change efforts.
- Provide professional development support to managers and supervisors to guide their teams through changes.
- Build individual skills and competencies to adapt to change utilizing the ADKAR model.
- Lead the development of change management processes to foster smooth transitions for employees from current state to future state.
- Partner with departments and teams to develop and execute change plans with identified strategies for adoption along with reducing resistance.
- Perform retrospectives to evaluate the impact of implemented change management strategies.
- Bachelors in Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, IO Psychology, Change Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in change management or organizational development, or significant experience that reflects the competencies needed for the role.
- Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, and a variety of life experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- 2+ years project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading and completing projects, PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
- Possess a solid foundation in K-12 education, expanded learning environments, or higher education, with a commitment to advancing educational outcomes and fostering lifelong learning.
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions to address complex business challenges, with a proven track record of analyzing requirements, designing effective processes, and proposing impactful solutions.
- Commitment to equity, excellence, and improving the odds for kids; supporting the needs of students from underrepresented populations.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple ongoing initiatives.
- Possess design thinking and agile skills.
- Partners with key stakeholders on visioning and cultural awareness and development to drive changes that embrace diversity, inclusion, and equity.
- Demonstrated ability to create an environment of psychological safety by working collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and leaders.
- Intermediate level experience with Project Management Software (Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.)
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Adobe
- File Management (One Drive, Box, Dropbox, etc.)
- Email, internet, website, and social media platforms
- Use of typical office equipment
- Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting), provide a clear TB test.
Salary Range $70,000-$80,000
This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
