Job Details
We are looking for an experienced and energetic VP of Human Resources (HR) to join our dynamic team in the Luxury hospitality industry. This is a permanent position, offering an exceptional opportunity to shape the human resources strategy for our multi-state, multi-property organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury hospitality, be well-versed in employment law and hiring practices, and have a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive human resource policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
As the VP of HR, you will play an integral role in our regional and corporate offices. Your responsibilities will include
- Overseeing all HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee benefits, implementation of 401k plans, and performance management systems.
- Developing and implementing corporate human resources and legal risk management strategies.
- Driving safety and workers compensation programs to limit losses and exposure.
- Providing leadership and support to HR professionals across multiple properties and states.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with other executives to align the company's HR strategy with its business goals.
- Using data and analytics to drive HR decision-making and to improve employee experience.
- Leveraging the Ceridian / Day Force platform for HR management.
To be considered for this role, you will need
- A minimum of 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in the sales or luxury hospitality industry.
- Certifications in SPHR, PHR, SHRM, or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of employment law and hiring practices.
- Proven experience in managing HR operations across multiple properties and states.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing comprehensive HR policies and procedures.
- Experience with Ceridian / Day Force or similar HR management software.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate future HR needs and trends.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent would be considered an asset.
