Role: Engineer
Location: Burlington, MA- 1803
Duration: 12 Months on W2
Shift Timings: 8 am to 5 pm
100% Onsite role. (Local candidates only).

Skills Looking For
The role involves performing failure analysis on explanted medical devices, specifically the HeartMate II and HeartMate III, which are mechanical left ventricular assist devices (LVADs).
- These devices were previously implanted in patients and may come with biological material attached.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle exposure to biomedical materials (e.g., blood, tissue).
- Experience with technical writing and documentation.
- Previous exposure to biomedical or mechanical engineering projects.
- Familiarity with Epic, a complaint handling system, is preferred but not required as training will be provided.
- Day-to-day Responsibilities: Conduct failure analysis on returned biomedical devices; Handle and examine products with potential exposure to blood and tissue; Write technical reports based on analysis and document events reported by hospitals; Collaborate occasionally with R&D, software, and other departments for comprehensive investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferred candidates are recent graduates or have up to 2 years of experience, including internships or co-ops.
- Candidates with advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) or more than two years of professional experience will be considered overqualified.
- Experience should primarily consist of internships or co-ops rather than full-time roles.
- Biomedical engineering degree
- Communication, teamwork, and independent work capabilities.
- Experience with failure analysis and technical reporting.
- Phone screening followed by Panel Onsite interview.
