What You Will Do

  • Oversee high-impact strategic initiatives on owner experience, profitability, expansion, and the evolution of Pacaso’s business model; manage initiatives from A - Z, including identifying new opportunities, presenting recommendations to senior leadership, securing buy-in, and leading execution
  • Collaborate with a broad set of teams, including Finance, Accounting, Data, Product, Engineering, Acquisitions, and Sales, to streamline operations, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Pacaso leadership and provide analytical, data-driven thought partnership
  • Work closely with Senior Director of Operations to prioritize initiatives, build and manage annual and quarterly roadmaps, and monitor performance metrics
  • Own analytics for the full Operations organization, including Market Operations, Customer Support, Procurement, Logistics, Interior Design, Turnover Operations, and Onboarding
  • Act as a catalyst for growing the business intelligence, data, and analytics capabilities of the Operations organization; hands-on Excel and modeling work required
  • Drive production forecasting, scenario planning, and predictive analytics to optimize the impact of operational investments in our home onboarding flow
  • Assess risks and contingencies and build plans to mitigate risks and drive performance
  • Develop SOPs, workflows, reports, dashboards, and other tools to maximize productivity
  • Demonstrate professional skepticism and critical thinking in assessing data quality, defining assumptions, and justifying recommendations
  • Gain understanding of user needs, including team members, customers, and cross-functional leaders through user research and getting into the field as necessary
  • Assist stakeholders in determining business needs and requirements for operations and analytics, including the development of performance metrics and KPIs
  • Foster a data-driven culture through the adoption and proliferation of data management best practices

Qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Finance or a similar technical field
  • 10+ years of work experience in roles involving data / analytics, strategy, process improvement, predictive forecasting; consulting, corporate development, and/or finance experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and modeling experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop polished presentations for senior leadership
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment, while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders; growth-stage startup experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and people skills; you communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, and thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments
  • Experience using data and analytics to break down ambiguous, complex problems and influence solutions
  • Experience in forecasting and/or demand planning preferred
  • Ability to see the big picture as well as focus on the smallest details in operations; you're a systems thinker who loves getting in the weeds
  • You have strong business acumen and know that problem solving goes beyond the numbers
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and love building new things in addition to optimizing existing processes
  • You’re a team player and always focus on the greater good
