Position Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic role designed to align business objectives for Trove employees and management across all business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership:

  • Collaborate with the Head of HR and other members of senior leadership to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to support business goals and enhance workforce performance.
  • Creates strategies to build organizational capability, and drive implementation of initiatives resulting in broad behavioral shifts.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Acts as a thought leader on internal and external talent landscape and strategic HR initiatives to drive the business forward and influence decisions.
  • Partner with Talent team to help identify core competencies and training needs across all business units.

Talent Management

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals.

Employee Relations

  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Empower others to take ownership of problems, make effective decisions and recognize the broad, systematic implications of problems and issues.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Change Management

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to managers on change management practices.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Work with the compensation team to evaluate and benchmark positions, ensuring competitive pay structures.
  • Provide input and support on compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent.

HR Metrics And Analytics

  • Utilize HR metrics and data to analyze trends and develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Ability to tell a story using data. Experience creating analytics using Excel, and presentation design and delivery, in support of Human Resources and business initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning metrics to ensure alignment with business goals.

Compliance And Policy Development

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience in a business partnering capacity with an emphasis workforce planning, long term vision planning, organization agility and optimization, and executive engagement.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR practices with business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strongly preferred proficiency in Paylocity or other HR software.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Boston office and be in office 4 days a week.
  • Able to travel up to 20% to Stamford, CT and/or New York city office location.
