The Sales Strategy & Operations (SS&O) organization guides and executes critical business decisions across the global advertising sales organization through strategy, analytics and operations. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations as well as analytical and strategic thinking. They are pragmatic and results-oriented.

The Central SS&O Global Operations team designs and executes the internal operations of the global sales organization, translating global sales strategic priorities into action across the 1000+ sales team, sales leadership, and cross functional partners. Central SS&O enables efficiency and effectiveness at scale for the global sales organization via systems, tools, and processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively identify, redefine, and execute processes and systems that improve and scale the internal operations of the Sales organization. Design the approach, process, and systems solutions for those operations. Examples include: designing how the Sales team conducts quarterly strategic planning and implementing the approach across the organization; managing changes to Sales team structures; establishing policies and processes for assigning accounts to sales teams and service levels; and building the intricate project plan and processes for quota setting across finance, sales, systems, and data teams.
  • Work with and influence Systems and Data teams within the Sales Strategy & Operations org as well as teams outside of SS&O including Sales Finance, Compensation, Global Sales Solutions, and Sales Enablement to drive joint workstreams.
  • Define and monitor internal operating metrics and structure qualitative feedback mechanisms. Translate data and findings into insights and improvements and communicate changes/recommendations to relevant teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for significant operational improvements; structure and execute corresponding projects by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, building working groups, and developing final recommendations. Align sales leaders and cross functional partners on proposed approaches / improvements. Partner with cross functional teams to drive projects through to implementation.
  • Manage a small set of contractors to execute ongoing operational processes.


What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional experience in strategy & operations in highly cross functional environments such as management consulting, corporate strategy or technology/media companies, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of sales and digital advertising platforms plus working knowledge of sales systems and tools including Salesforce.
  • Passion for operations - excited by uncovering and driving operational improvements.
  • Effectively navigate complex cross functional partnerships; build strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Develop clear plans to shape the work needed to drive improvement opportunities; and drive those plans through to full completion.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, tightly manage and execute processes in well organized way while also able to prioritize effectively and focus on the most impactful areas.
  • Highly structured, clear, and concise written and verbal communication that effectively drives action from leadership level audiences. Can simplify and translate complex findings / messages to drive leadership alignment.
  • Effectively analyze quantitative and qualitative data to provide business insights.
  • Successful in fast-paced environments.

In-Office Requirement Statement

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.

In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for equity and incentive compensation. Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
