Seismic seeks a highly motivated Senior Business Strategy and Operations Director to help define the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, provide strategic analyses, and instill operational thoughtfulness in our GTM organization. This is not a “run the business” operations role. Instead, you will be responsible for delivering insights to senior leaders and executing initiatives associated with these recommendations. You should be highly analytical and able to work directly with sales leadership, go-to-market leaders, and other cross-functional stakeholders. This role will be critical to driving insights to support performance improvement initiatives and be a key contributor to Quarterly Business Reviews, Board Meeting presentations, and country / region / segment improvement plans. The role will report to the Vice President of Revenue Operations and support the Chief Revenue Officer and his direct reports.

THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR ROLE

What you will be doing:

  • Business Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from large datasets and guide decision-making.
  • Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to monitor business performance and track progress against strategic goals.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights and market intelligence.
  • Execution: Manage special initiatives to execute approved recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Be a trusted business partner to the GTM leadership by defining, tracking, and implementing goals, programs and strategies at scale.
  • GTM Strategy: Development of annual strategy plans and support for geographic and segment growth plans. Will also support long range planning initiatives.

What you bring to the team:

We are looking for a self-motivated and highly analytical Biz Ops leader, a doer who thinks strategically and can also dive deep into challenges to get things done. This is a true business partner to senior Go-to-market leaders, with a proven track record supporting fast-growing SaaS organizations.  This role will have some involvement with day-to-day sales operations motions, but will primarily be focused on growth initiatives and the analysis/reporting on leading indicators of performance and growth.

  • 12+ years of experience in Business Strategy or Revenue Operations.
  • B2B SaaS experience is a must, especially in the “scale-up” phase.
  • Proven expertise in developing and improving complex operating models, using advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Propensity to summarize complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Process expert: Envision end-to-end process change to solve our needs, drive agreement, guide execution in partnership with other ops teams.
  • Get things done mentality, with a structured mindset to drive internal change.
  • Advanced proficiency in BI and sales tools (particularly Salesforce and Tableau)
  • Investment banking, strategy consulting, and biz ops experience is a big plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field. Master is a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills including presenting, editing, and writing with attention to detail required.
