This is a remote position. To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in the US.

Your future team

We are looking for a Creative Director/Writer to partner with creative directors, art directors, designers, producers, researchers, and product marketers to develop creative on behalf of the Atlassian brand, ensuring a consistent voice through all touch points. You are a strategic thinker with experience leading efforts to execute across film, social media, web, OOH, and events.

You will have experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured environment. You will be comfortable guiding teams, agencies and production partners, but are also willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work.

You will report to our Executive Creative Director.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the strategy and creative direction of marketing and brand creative
  • Concept and write advertising and marketing materials
  • Manage development of executions that resonate with a range of audiences while maintaining consistency for the brand
  • Develop original creative ideas for a variety of marketing touch-points
  • Work cross-functionally, balancing the needs of stakeholders and breaking down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas
  • Provide creative direction and guidance to creative teams
  • Create and sustain a culture of excellence as a beloved leader of creatives partnering with producers, program managers, and product marketing managers. Inspire, enable, and energize a world-class creative team
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers and engineers to serve a global audience
  • Write for TV/video, mobile, web, OOH and more
  • Help lead both in-house and external teams in creative strategy, execution and production
  • Experience across creative expression: traditional, digital (including products), experiential, and ideas that drive earned media
  • Have experience building partnerships with XFN teams.
  • Lead break through, integrated marketing campaigns.


Qualifications

Your background

  • 10+ years experience as a creative leader creative agency and/or an internal client side
  • Experience developing and managing consumer marketing programs in a data-driven, integrated marketing environment
  • Experience managing and mentoring creative teams in a global role
  • Experience in a multitude of creative disciplines, including product, film, OOH and events
  • Experience across creative expression: traditional, digital (including products), experiential with ideas that drive earned media


Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

Role

In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $168,100 - $224,100

Zone B: $151,300 - $201,700

Zone C: $139,500 - $186,000

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
