Job Title: Head of Clinical Development

Location: US and China

Reports To: SVP

Company Overview: Meet has partnered up with a leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative medicines to meet significant unmet medical needs in oncology and other therapeutic areas.


Position Overview: As the Head of Clinical Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the clinical development strategy for the client's oncology portfolio. Reporting directly to the SVP, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of 30 professionals and oversee all clinical development activities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements for their oncology portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for the clinical development of oncology programs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of clinical development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Clinical Trial Oversight: Provide oversight and strategic guidance on the design, execution, and analysis of clinical trials, including Phase I-IV studies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and standards throughout the clinical development process.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and Biostatistics to advance clinical programs efficiently.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage budget planning and resource allocation for clinical development activities, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, regulatory authorities, and external partners to support clinical trial execution and program advancement.
  • Travel Requirement: This role requires approximately 50% travel to China for strategic planning, team meetings, and collaboration with regional stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Education: MD
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in clinical development within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in oncology drug development.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams in a global matrix environment.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute clinical development strategies that align with corporate goals and market opportunities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global regulatory requirements and guidelines applicable to clinical development programs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.


Location: Remote US and 50% travel to China.
