Summary

Job Information:

Responsible for informing the business on supply planning and inventory management of medical surgical supplies to meet or exceed customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels of the Virtua Supply Chain Service Center. Use of Warehouse Management System (WMS) for all inventory transactions, controlling and optimizing inventory. In addition low unit supply pick system/s and the enterprise resource planning (ERP) planning system for financial information. Responsible for managing and mentoring service center procurement associates.

Position Responsibilities

Reviewing/ generating reports, making inventory related changes in the WMS, communication with Service Center Manager on all inventory related matters.

Running reports and/or requesting reports to optimize inventory management, leveraging forecasting and suggested ordering from the WMS. Will create or request to create custom reports.

Communicating need of substitution options to Clinical Resource Management

Order appropriate substitute/s

Complete required inventory management and communication to mitigate unfilled orders

Addresses concerns in advance, avoiding crisis situations.

Supervise and mentor 2 Service Center procurement associates.

Return, Exchanges, Damages leading the process to efficiently handle them, once notified by the receiving depart. Contact vendor, process return, replacement, and responsible to make necessary notations in the applicable system/s.

Analyze and provide clear, timely communication with internal stakeholders regarding inventory excess and shortages in network.

Provide monthly updates to leadership about KPIs, explain variances, solutions and reasons for variance/s.

Participate the selection/ suggestion of systems, processes and/or equipment that will positively impact the inventory management process of the service center.

Will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the required physical inventory, along with the Service Center Manager as applicable.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

High school diploma required.

Bachelor or Associates Degree in related business field preferred.
