Enterprise Data Architect – Remote

Our client is looking for an enterprise data architect with exposure to working in the clinical trials, life sciences or pharmaceutical arena to better understand their complex needs. We are looking for someone specifically with experience working with Snowflake cloud data warehousing, has worked with Teradata and is certified in MCDBA – SQL Server. This is a remote position requiring a dedicated workspace from home with high-speed internet, We are only considering candidates living within the United States and do not require sponsorship. This is a direct hire full-time position – no third-party candidates.

Summary of role:

Enterprise Data Architecture – In this role the candidate will not just deal with data warehouses but the entire ecosystem. He/She will also be developing and executing a whole data architecture strategy, making sure everything is governed, high-quality, and compliant.



Solution Design and Implementation - The candidate will be architecting data pipelines and designing comprehensive data solutions with tools like Snowflake.

Leadership and Collaboration - The candidate will be leading projects, mentoring team members, and presenting to executives. It’s a lot more than just managing a warehouse.



Business Intelligence and Analytics – The candidate will be involved in business analysis, big data, data lakes, and governance. It’s a broad role that covers all aspects of data management.



Required Skills:

• Data Technologies: Big Data, Cloud (AWS, Azure), Cloud Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse), Databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Netezza, MongoDB), ETL Tools (Informatica, SSIS, ADF, Talend), Programming (PL/SQL, Python).
• Leadership and Collaboration: Team building, cross-functional collaboration, metrics-based reporting, agile practices.
• Business Intelligence and Analytics: Business analysis, BI, data warehousing, big data, data lakes, data governance.
• Preferred background working in the area of CRO, clinical trials, life sciences or pharmaceuticals.
  
  

Sample Responsibilities:

• Enterprise Data Architecture: Develop and execute data architecture strategy, ensure data governance, quality, and compliance.
• Solution Design and Implementation: Architect data pipelines, design comprehensive data solutions with Snowflake, optimize performance.
• Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects, provide executive-level presentations, mentor team members.
• Client and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, manage client-side executives, handle customer delivery and training.
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• Industry-Specific Projects: Extensive experience in CRO, clinical trials, life sciences, pharmaceuticals.
  
  

Education and Certification:

• Qualifications: Postgraduate in Computer Applications, Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
• Certifications: Master in Teradata, MCDBA - SQL Server, SNOWFLAKE Advanced Architect
