We are seeking a Manager of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP & Services. This position will be able to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

The position plays a critical role in identifying opportunities to add business value, pursue improved or new technology functionality, and drive the maximum level of standardization of business processes and technology across the entire Services Business. The Manager of Microsoft Great Plains ERP & Services will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business units. This position requires cross business unit prioritization of enhancements and projects and will need to establish ways to streamline processes and create consistency across various Services businesses. Being able to manage multiple projects and enhancements as well as a results focused approach are critical for success in this role.

The Manager – Microsoft Great Plains ERP & Services will play a critical role:

  • Overall governance and management of our Microsoft Great Plains ERP
  • Managing a cross functional team of Business Analysts, Architects and Developers who support and enhance the platform
  • Understanding Services Related Enhancements across Enterprise Applications
  • Managing major Services Related Projects and Enhancements which could include migrations to Microsoft Great Plains
  • facilitate business process review sessions with our stakeholders, document processes, build business requirements and design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Interact across numerous Services businesses and functional areas to determine business needs and associated application requirements
  • Strong business acumen: Establish and maintain effective relationships, develop business cases and ROI’s for solution design proposals
  • Use knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign, maximizing the return on investment of our Services Application
  • Lead the prioritization of major projects/Enhancements across services businesses and multiple functional areas
  • Understand, document, and analyze the current state of the business processes in multiple areas including finance, operations and supply chain
  • Manage the teams work intake, prioritization and Agile sprint management practices using IT Business Management as part of Service Now
  • Actively participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes, including: requirements gathering and translation, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing/Conference Room Pilots, sign-off, training, and implementation.
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
  • Approximate travel 25 - 30%

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects/enhancements using Service Now ITBM in collaboration with our Senior IT Project Manager
  • Identify/document tasks/deliverables, create project schedules, assign tasks, perform project oversight, and provide project status
  • Work with management/team members/users to ensure project stays on schedule and negotiate/adjust resources and priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 8+ years’ Great Plains ERP Experience
  • 5+ years’ people management experience
  • 5+ of planning skills that include: project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management and the ability to handle multiple deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of business processes as they relate to assigned area of focus in a diverse services organization
  • Strong process orientation with proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology-based implementation
  • Results-focused, tenacious, multi-tasking problem solver, capable of complex thinking and analysis
