Selby Jennings is exclusively supporting a leading full-service environmental firm in their search for a highly experienced corporate finance professional to serve as their Chief Financial Officer. In this role, you will provide strategic financial direction, ensuring the company's financial stability, profitability, and growth. This role requires a highly experienced finance professional with experience in environmental services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s overall business objectives and growth. Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Implement and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the CEO and other executive leaders to drive business performance. Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt, equity, and cash flow. Lead capital-raising efforts and manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Lead financial due diligence and integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, investors, and external auditors. Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives effectively.


Qualifications

  • 15+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role.
  • Strong background in environmental services or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to drive business growth.
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
