Assistant Store Manager

Urban Owl is looking for a responsible Assistant Retail Store Manager that is ready to expand their skills, make lasting connections and are passionate about supporting a small business's growth. Our ideal candidate is a top seller skilled at organizing and solving problems. Interpersonal skills are a must to fill in for the Store Manager when needed.

Responsibilites Are, But Not Limited To

• Meet daily sales goal.
• Track & report the progress of monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
• Overseeing daily retail operations.
• Co-Developing with the store manager an aggressive sales strategy and implement it.
• Monitor and maintain backroom supplies inventory.
• Evaluate employee performance alongside manager to identify hiring and training needs
• Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best.
• Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates.
• Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data, like revenues, expenses and competition.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable.
• Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines.
  
  

Requirements And Skills

• Sales experience in a retail environment: 2 years (Required)
• Retail management: 2 years (Required)
• Proven experience as a Retail Assistant Manager or similar position
• Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes
• Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
• Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
• Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem-solving attitude
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends and nights.
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
