About The Role

Join a dedicated team to provide customer support within the NCAOC’s IT department, ensuring the seamless operation of personal computer systems for judicial staff in designated counties. From troubleshooting hardware and software issues to managing critical incidents, your expertise will be critical in maintaining efficient local area networks and computer systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Independently troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
  • Support personal computer systems for judicial staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated on evolving hardware and software technology.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN hardware and software.
  • Interact with Judicial Branch staff and local government officials.
  • Facilitate moves and relocations of judicial facilities.
  • Provide technical training for staff as required.
  • Test and recommend hardware and software configurations.
  • Participate in large-scale technology deployment projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
  • Minimum of one year of IT experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Cisco products, and Office software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly.

Additional Details

  • Work hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (approval needed for overtime).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as part of the role.
  • Occasional overnight travel across the state required.
  • Reporting directly to the IT Support Supervisor at the duty station.
