Management position responsible for all aspects of Quality. ISO Management Representative with authority to identify and evaluate quality problems and to recommend and initiate effective solutions and corrective actions.

Organizational Relationships

  • Reports to the president.
  • Directly supervises all QC inspectors and coordinators.
  • Works closely with operations, sales, procurement, and engineering functions to meet company goals and objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Implementation and administration of the Quality System
  • Establishment of Quality Control Requirements
  • Training and qualification of inspection personnel
  • Training management personnel on requirements of the Quality System
  • Implementation of the calibration program
  • Implementation and maintenance of the subcontractor evaluation program
  • Implementation and scheduling the internal audit program
  • Interfacing with other departments to assure compliance to Quality System Requirements
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as directed by the VP/GM.

Qualifications

  • Some experience with problem solving techniques (root cause analysis)
  • Must be familiar with statistical techniques
  • Must have excellent communication skills with ability to interface directly with the customer and corporate level management concerning quality issues
  • Must possess a high energy level with a strong work ethic
  • Good PC skills with knowledge of databases. Experience with Quote Writer and Mapics software a plus
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Advanced time management skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly

Education & Experience

  • 4 year college degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Business Administration
  • Minimum five years experience as a Quality Supervisor or QA Manager in a manufacturing environment, and preferably in an Automotive related industry

  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
