We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun-loving team members, and are looking for a Raw Materials Manager to come join our New York based headquarters. Our HQ Office is located in Lower Manhattan and the team is on-site 4 days per week.
Position Overview
Tommy John is seeking a versatile, self-driven, Raw Materials Manager to build a regional supply chain that aligns and supports the product goals of the business to minimize cost and lead-time while maximizing quality across multiple product categories. This role will influence and drive change across the organization and develop comprehensive solutions aligned with divisional goals. Responsible for creating strategies and reporting out on financial contributions that benefit the business. Initiate and lead projects in support of strategic vision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Design trend concepts through fabric and trim sourcing and/or development
- Manage mill sourcing and daily communication; set up NDA and capabilities for all mills
- Update existing processes and create new processes to improve efficiency
- Manage POs and WIP tracking for all materials (including invoice payments for RM and surcharges)
- Obtain and manage lead times, MOQ and MCQ initial tiered price for all raw materials (including surcharges updating FIS)
- Track mill internal testing (escalating issues) and trim; send out to 3rd party testing when necessary and complete FIS establishing all tolerances
- Maintain physical library and FIS including trim of all header for all mid-spec standards
- Conduct second sourcing when initiated by PD/Production
- Initiate, track, and allocate SMS yardage and trim orders; Designate yardage for fit and protos
- Validate qualities as swatches, protos, fit, and SMS samples as they arrive
- Track bulk lots and ensure tolerance is met while initiating PPS
- Initiate lab dip process and print strike off, partner with design for approvals, tracking, and maintaining color approval library through first bulk
- Create KPI reports – adoption ratio of fabric, lab dip rounds, etc.
- Provide Brand team with any product features/performance attributes
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in Raw Materials and Trim
- Advanced technical fabric knowledge and familiarity with fabric testing standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word) and RLM/PLM
- Outstanding work ethic with the ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize & deliver multiple tasks on time, all within a fast-paced environment
- Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Possess exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to build & manage a process; can be creative in approach to problem solving

- Ability to be on-site in our HQ Office in Lower Manhattan 4 days per week

Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 annually
