Come be a part of something big! Smart Minds, Cool Jobs, and Awesome Rewards! Fueled by innovation, talent, and ambition, the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking civilian professionals prepared to deploy war-winning capabilities on behalf of the Department of the United States Air Force.

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full time Operations Research Analyst (GS-1515-14) to work at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.

This organization must consider Air Force potential modernization alternatives, prioritize capabilities/systems to pursue, and integrate across future and current systems to assess risk, consider affordability, and inform evolving and future force design. To tackle this task, we are using operations research, data analytics, decision analytics, agile software DevOps, effective data visualization skills, and artificial intelligence. The position requires creativity, properly aligned skills, good team skills, and ability to perform well under pressure in a chaotic, fast-moving environment. The organization is flat - made up of small, agile teams. Each person is valued for what they bring to the problem set and, given they bring high value, has direct access to senior leadership. We accelerate Air Force capability development and technological change via development, integration, synchronization, visualization, and analysis of capability development data to ultimately enable prioritization of the lines of effort for program stops and starts across the Air Force. We are recognized as the Air Force authority on capability development data analytics and data integration. In the broader sense, the Air Force is bringing cutting edge technology to Department of Defense planning and programming decision making via the individuals on this team.
