Experience Required

  • Minimum:
    • Experience in a medical office, including exposure to revenue cycle management and accounts receivable.
    • Proficient in medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10).
    • Prior involvement with cash collections and account balancing.
    • Excellent communication capabilities and precision in data entry.
  • Preferred:
    • Leadership background, adept in training, employee scheduling, and enhancing process efficiencies.
    • Engaged in staff meetings, committee participation, and workforce development activities.
    • Proven track record in supervising, evaluating staff performance, and a background of at least three years in Patient Access or Patient Financial Services.
Technical And Other Requirements

  • Minimum:
    • Demonstrated competence in navigating complex, multi-cultural, and multi-entity health systems.
    • Strong abilities in project management, prioritizing effectively under pressure, and deadline adherence.
    • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Experienced in professional public interactions and proficient with computers, including spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred:
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of regulatory standards (State, Federal, JCAHO).
    • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the creation and adjustment of policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Undertake payroll processing and prepare schedules to guarantee comprehensive coverage and departmental efficiency.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities to maintain compliance with payer and regulatory norms.
  • Manage daily census verification to ensure precise statistics for health statistics and service monitoring.
  • Address and rectify duplicate medical record issues and insurance discrepancies to expedite claim processing.

Skills And Certifications Required

  • Supervisory or Management Experience
  • Expertise in Medical billing and coding

Employment Details

  • Full-time role requiring occasional travel.
  • Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience, preferably at a mid-senior level, with a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum educational qualification. Management experience is not a prerequisite.
