Position: Sales Director, Americas – Sensirion Connected Solutions (SCS)

Location: Remote in Texas (ideally Houston or Midland) or Chicagoland, IL (U.S. HQ)

Travel: 25-35%


Your Opportunity:

Work for a global leader in the dynamic and competitive IoT-driven environmental monitoring industry. The Sales Director, Americas with Sensirion Connected Solutions Inc is responsible for leading and coaching a sales team of seven, covering key account and customer success management as well as field services, and providing guidance and direction with a well-executed vision. You will build strong relationships with North American oil and gas customers and nurture their experience with our continuous methane emissions monitoring solution Nubo Sphere. This position requires a strong working knowledge of B2B and SaaS sales and solutions, leadership, communication skills, and specifically working knowledge of the oil and gas industry, as well as being results-driven and solution-oriented. You will have the ability to continue growing and shape a new business for Sensirion with the backing of the world’s leading sensor expert. This will provide the opportunity to build customer relationships, as well as application and product expertise while working with Fortune 500 companies’ top teams. You will be challenged daily by working closely with Sensirion Connected Solutions global sales team, product management and engineering at the Swiss headquarter.


Job Responsibilities:

· Team leadership and development: Mentor, train and support the U.S. sales team in their professional growth and development.

· Empower the team to provide our customers with the highest level of satisfaction and customer success.

· Lead Sensirion’s continuous methane emissions monitoring solution Nubo Sphere to success and win O&G customers in North America through effective communication and negotiation.

· Use your technical sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to grow the business and present Nubo Sphere as a solution.

· Lead and delegate customer adoption through education, enablement, and regular business meetings.

· Leverage strategic skills to provide clear input for the company’s vision and roadmap.

· Identify and communicate customer needs and market trends to Business Unit for new product ideas and/or product improvements.

· Collaborate locally and globally with interdisciplinary teams.


Requirements:

· Oil & Gas (O&G) Industry experience required, in B2B "Software as a Service" (SaaS) technical sales leadership role ideally related to sustainability, EHS, GHG reporting, or emissions monitoring solutions.

· 7-10+ total years of B2B SaaS selling experience required in both individual producing role & sales team leadership function with P&L responsibility and proven track record in providing full turnkey technical solutions (strong knowledge with best practices and strategies in key account management, customer success management, field service engineering and negotiation strategies).

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EE or ME preferred) or physics highly preferred.

· Master’s degree is desirable (but not required).

· Prior experience as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired (but not required).

· Travel approximately 25-35% (as needed) visiting customers, but also, to US Headquarters in Chicago or Switzerland for meetings as required.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal working with local U.S. and global teams in Switzerland.

· Motivating team player experienced working with a team in numerous geographic areas.

· Previous experience working with a global company preferred.
